  pleasant surprise - 1/26/2008
I would buy this wine again

Took a chance and bought this and I was very happy with my choice. I have bought it again and will continue to buy it. My friends all loved it. It disappeared before I knew it.

In a way expressing a very British sensibility, this reminds me of the good side of fruitcake or of a British sweetshop. With candied apricot and orange peel, lots of toffee, sherry, and smoke, as well as hints of earl grey tea, sea salt, iodine, and old nuts, it shows lots of interesting scents and flavors. It finishes long and generously. Cort's pairing with hazelnut cheesecake has got to be just about perfect. If there's anything I would wish of it, it's that it had a pinch more acidity--but you'd have to pay for that! For the price, this represents a tremendous value.

The Wine for Krispy Kremes

You thought we might be stumped right? Not eVineyard. If you want the finest in Food and Wine pairing, you've come to the right place.

This Australian wine, made from Muscadelle grapes, left long on the vine like a late harvest Riesling, is the perfect match for a Krispy Kreme.

On the other hand, if you just want to enjoy your Krispy Kremes, just about any wine from our vast selection will wash 'em down nicely.

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.

Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
